Last week we shared the video of Rachael and James's gorgeous wedding, and now let's all feast our eyes on the photos of this amazing affair! We are in love with all of the DIY elements that this couple made, from the stationery to the alter and the signage, all with a subtle nod towards the nautical and a love for Lake Erie.
From the bride, Rachael:
When we started planning, the overall feel we wanted for our wedding was a summery, lakeshore vibe that was stylistically classic with hints of nautical elements. Visually, I wanted to steer clear of anything too literally nautical — we didn't want stripes and preppy elements — so I used hints of iconography and elevated it with a palette of vanilla, peach, chambray, and copper/rose gold. The resulting look was more romantic and whimsical than graphic, and suited that warm end-of-summer feel that we wanted.
