A little bit rustic, a little bit whimsical, a little bit elegant, and a whole lot of beautiful -- we love every detail of this wedding on the lawn of the stone cottage at Hines Hill Conference Center in Peninsula, Ohio.
From the bride, Ashley:
My husband, Chris, and I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time in Cleveland’s Metro Parks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We were looking for a venue with lots of outdoor space and some vintage charm, so when we found Hines Hill in CVNP we were smitten! I’m not someone who’s very driven by traditional “themes,” but I knew I wanted to infuse the rustic feel of Hines Hill with a bit of polish and elegance. Melanie Tindell of Oak & Honey helped us to narrow our vision. She presented us with 2 designs—a softer, more pastel palette with colors inspired by nature, and a bolder, more colorful, color-blocked looked. We opted for the softer look and once I found my dress it all came together with soft, ethereal pinks, grays, sages, and golds. I wanted our guests to be in awe of their surroundings, but also feel comfortable and at ease—that was a driving force for us throughout the design process. In the end, I think we hit the perfect note of soft, rustic elegance.
