For a lot of brides, it can be overwhelming to narrow down inspiration for their wedding, because there are just too many ideas! We love that this bride found her inspiration right at home and was able to weave that inspiration throughout all the details of her wedding. The result is classic, elegant and perfectly personal.
From the bride, Michelle:
My main style inspiration for our wedding came from my childhood home. My parents have been collecting blue and white porcelain for years and used many of these unique pieces to decorate our traditional, century-old home. I have always loved the delicate details and the antique feel of blue and white porcelain. I chose to build my theme around it because I knew it would work perfectly with the traditional style of Westwood Country Club, the venue we had chosen for our reception. Blue and white porcelain was the perfect centerpiece for the classic, yet unique, wedding I was dreaming of. To make sure the centerpieces stood out, I kept the rest of the details simple. Brandon at Urban Orchid really took the time to understand my vision and created beautiful English garden-inspired arrangements in shades of green, blue, and white for the ceremony and reception. I also added many different silver accents to add a little bit of elegance. I was very lucky to have awesome vendors who were excited about my ideas and helped me turn my vision into a reality. It was so fun to watch all the details come together for my big day.
My favorite memory from the wedding was our first look. My husband and I chose to have our first look in my family’s garden, which made it very simple and intimate. It was a very sweet, special moment to share as a couple. During our photo shoot, we were so happy to be together and were truly having so much fun. We both felt really comfortable with our photographer, Hunter. The photo shoot was very relaxed and natural, which I think came through in our photos. Overall, I think our first look in my family’s garden was the perfect start to a perfect day filled with love and happiness!
