They say rain is good luck on your wedding day... and that is definitely the case with this gorgeous new gown, "Raincloud" by Leanne Marshall, available at Something White! This utterly unique gown floats on air with a skirt of diaphanous layers of dove-grey and pale-blue silk organza that looks almost like a watercolor painting. The top has a deep v-neck, spaghetti straps, open back, and a boned bodice for structure. You may have seen that we featured Leanne Marshall's "Gabrielle" in a post last week, and they are actually the same gown style in different colors, which just exemplifies how a change of color can produce a whole different look!
While of course no one plans on rainy weather for their wedding, there's no reason not to take inspiration from such a pretty grey-and-blue color palette -- and the unpredictable weather in Northeast Ohio! We would pair Raincloud with a soft peach bouquet to complement the blue-grey gown, romantic hair and makeup, and of course a modern blue cake to match!
